HOW TO: The Most Awkward Flip on a Wakeboard

The strangest of the "basic" inverts on a wakeboard... At least to me. The heel side front flip is a funky one! It's one that I've never been great at, but I recently got asked to do an instructional on this trick; so I decided to take it head on and try to figure it out! At a base level, the rotation of a Heelside front flip is more of a cart wheel/ side flip rotation than anything else. This sets the trick apart from most other flips in two ways: the unique look, as well as the different way that you initiate the flip off the wake. This is a little different from my normal instructional videos, as I'm really just relaying the thoughts that helped me sort it out a little better in this session.
