Learning to Wakeboard with a Spinal Injury | Adaptive Waterskiing | Incredible People!

Published almost 2 years ago

We worked with Spinal Injuries Ireland to gather 4 people who have unfortunately suffered spinal injuries. Our goal was to introduce them to the sport of wakeboarding and waterskiing and hopefully get their heart racing. Here's a link to donate https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/DavidOC Any amount small or large goes a huge way. This video is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and I'm delighted that with the support of the Irish Waterski & Wakeboard Federation, Spinal Injuries Ireland and Wake N Ski that we were able to make it happen! Not to mention Eamon who is a world class (and champion) water-skier! I unfortunately have a number of friends who have suffered from spinal injuries and I understand how this can impact someone's life. It could happen to any of us (particularly those of us who love adrenaline based sports) and so any donation small or large is incredible. On Sunday 17th of September myself and two friends are going to be cycling from the most northernly point in Ireland, to the most southernly point (625km over 6 days). We are three amateur cyclist who only took up road biking in the last few months. The whole idea, like many stupid ones stemmed from a conversation in the pub! Before we knew it we all acquired bikes and now we're embarking on a pretty epic journey! Congrats to Jack, Phil, Hugh and Chloe for their amazing efforts on the day. I'm happy to report back that nearly all the participants have subsequently been in touch to go back! Thanks for watching. Much Love.
