This Is Surf

It's weird. Trying to define the very thing we dedicate our lives to, and just like the very waves we constantly search the horizon for, it's never the same. This thing we call surf is ever changing and evolving. At times it's counter-culture, other times it's a buttoned up broadcast. We're not claiming to be the authority on what surf is. But this is surf to us: freedom. Freedom to create and to build. It's a personal connection with nature. It's art and history; music and melted wax in your cupholder. It's missing class to not miss a swell. It's parking lot banter and having your favorite shaper's number in your phone. There's no definition for what surf is, maybe that's the best part about it? We know we'll never define it, but we can keep trying ~ and we'll have a helluva time doing just that. This is Vissla. This is Surf.
