RWTP Wake Island WENT OFF!! Good times with Daniel Grant at Liquid Force's Ride With The Pros

Community. Progression. And lettin’ the good times roll. That’s what Ride With The Pros is all about, and Wake Island delivered on every level.
The week kicked off strong with Liquid Force’s very own, Daniel Grant touching down and jumping straight into cable laps for Wake Skate Wednesday. Whether he was on a wakeskate or a wakeboard, Dan brought high energy and creative riding that set the tone early. Riders lined the dock to watch, and from that point on, the stoke never let up. Throughout the week, we linked up for sessions, shared meals, and spent time on & off the water with the crew, building a bond that makes wakeboarding more than just a sport.
Friday’s Squirrel Jam, co hosted by local legend Scott (Squirrel) Starkweather and LF Rep Kenji Breitenbucher, opened with a special session for the Wakeboard Little League, a grassroots youth movement started by Scott here in Northern California. For the first hour, it was all about giving back to the next generation, with Dan riding alongside the groms and coaching them up from the dock. After that, we rolled straight into the main jam. The format was simple: shuv-it battle around the last corner. Dan took the win with nine clean in a row, but the whole session was heavy with a ton of wake skaters throwing down hammers. That night, we hit Velocity Island for a sesh under the lights. Big thanks to Scott Hartmann for putting that together. Fun laps under the lights, music blasting, vibes high.
Saturday morning, we were out early helping Noel and the team set up before the gates opened. The community was already rolling into the lot and ready to go before Wake Island even opened. The 2025 Liquid Force demo fleet was fully loaded with a TAO, Illusion, Butterstick, Noodle, Holiday, Apex, and a TAO wakeskate for anyone ready to get after it. Both 4D and 6X bindings were on deck, and the cable was live from the jump. Over 200 riders came through for the main Ride With The Pros event, and the energy stayed high all day. Colin O’Malley and Kenji ran demos non-stop, getting people of all levels on the water. From first-timers catching their first pull to locals throwing down on new setups, the response to the gear was unreal. At one point, not a single demo board was left on the turf for hours because everything was in use. Local Pro Kaesen Suyderhoud teamed up with DG for a session that lit up the dock. After the final laps, we wrapped it all up with a proper dinner on the river in Sacramento and showed Dan around town to close out the weekend.
Huge shoutout to local filmer and ripper Adam Barry for capturing the atmosphere with a killer event edit, and massive thanks to Noel Carter and the entire crew at Wake Island Waterpark for always keeping this spot one of the best in the country. Events like this are a reflection of everything Liquid Force stands for, from relentless innovation to building true community on and off the water, Ride With The Pros isn’t just a demo day. It’s a celebration of where wake’s been and where it’s headed.
